Yoga found me in 2004 while training to become a holistic therapist. Both experiences transformed my life helping to see the power of self healing.
I believe that anyone can experience the joy that yoga creates in taking responsibility for your own wellbeing and dealing with modern day stress.
I am a fully qualified yoga teacher and member of Yoga Alliance and completed my training at Yoga Bodhi in Bath being taught by Simona Hernandez and Angela Roberts. Previous to that I did the British Wheel of Yoga foundation course and have attended many training days as I continue to grow and learn as a yoga teacher and practitioner. After starting a regular yoga practice I quickly noticed the many positive benefits – physically, mentally and spiritually. It not only made me feel more flexible and strong it made me feel more energised, positive and calmer. I have a particular love of Kirtan or devotional singing as I find that it helps to clear my mind and connect back to my true self.
I teach with a calm and gentle manner and hope to create a nurturing and supportive environment for you to develop your yoga practice.
My classes are a mixture of some flowing sequences, some longer held restorative asanas (poses), pranayama (breathing exercises) and meditation with yoga philosophy weaved through.
I completed my training as a holistic therapist in 2007 at Coleg Morgannwg, Nantgarw and completed further training as a Professional Reiki Practitoner in 2015.
Aside from Yoga and Therapies I also have a creative passion for making jewellery and a link to my facebook page can be found here.
I have also studied with Zodiac Complementary Therapies and Emma Jones of Healthy Jones to complete a basic certificate in Naturopathic Nutrition. I believe eating a whole food diet and living in tune with natures rhythms complements yoga and therapies perfectly.
