What to expect – At the first session I will carry out a short consultation before the treatment. The therapies listed only require the removal of shoes and socks so there is nothing for you to do except to relax and enjoy!
Reflexology 1 hour £35.Reflexology is a form of massage concentrating on certain reflex points on the feet. By massaging these reflex points, it is possible to treat the different areas of the body since every part of the feet and the hands corresponds to a specific part of the body. A Reflexology practitioner is also able to detect imbalances in the body through different textures in the feet and bring awareness that may prevent conditions occurring. As Reflexology is also a very relaxing and enjoyable treatment it is also able to reduce stress and anxiety.
Reiki 1 hour £35.Reiki means ‘Universal Life Force Energy’ in Japanese and is a way of channeling natural healing energy into the body that works on a physical, mental/emotional and spiritual level. All living beings radiate energy within and around them but sometimes during times of illness or stress this energy doesn’t flow freely and easily. The Reiki practitioner would gently place their hands non-intrusively on or near the body and Reiki would flow where it is needed. Clients may feel a deep sense of peace and calm during the treatment and can be used effectively alongside conventional medical treatment to enhance their benefits or reduce healing time. A wonderfully simple yet powerful treatment that anyone can benefit from.
Indian Head Massage 45mins £30.IHM is an Ayurvedic treatment which is an important part of Indian culture and has been practised for thousands of years. IHM is a massage to the back, neck, shoulders, head and face to increase blood flow, reduce muscle tension and improve mental alertness and vitality.
Metta Healing 1 hour £35.Metta comes from the Pali or Hindu word meaning ‘Loving Kindness’ and when we connect to this inner healing energy in our hearts and direct it towards others we realise that we are all connected and can extend healing to ourselves and facilitate it in others. The energy in our heart centre or Anahata chakra travels down the arms into the hands where the practitioner uses gentle massage techniques to stimulate marma (reflex) points in the hands, feet and face to bring about inner peace, balance and self healing.
